Mayor Ortega hopes to down zone Old Town Scottsdale. If he has his way, developers will be restricted to 1980s zoning concepts.

The Yaris hope to up zone Old Town Scottsdale to a level few of us really comprehend. If they have their way they might finally knock down that dilapidated and boarded up hotel and pancake house on 5th Avenue.

Today there is absolutely no standardized concept for building new stuff or boarding up old stuff.

The Old Town Scottsdale Character Area Plan needs to be a killer concept. But I doubt that is the future for Old Town.
