A contractor with almost 20 years in business in Queen Creek, Randy Appel is keen to give back to a community that has given him much.

He is currently working with the town to build a community event space that will be open to nonprofits and citizens looking for a place to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and other life events.

“This is something that we don’t have very many options for in town. The place will be called the QC Social Spot,” Appel said.
