Staff and volunteers will be gathering later this month to help maintain trails at San Tan Mountain Regional Park.
Also joining the work will be about 15 members of the Arizona Rangers Pinal Company.
“Recent rains have left their mark on the landscape, creating a need for some extra care and maintenance to keep the trails in good shape for everyone to enjoy,” according to a press release.
The cleanup and maintenance take place on Oct. 24 at the park, 6533 W. Phillips Road in Queen Creek.
Tracing their roots to territorial days, the modern-day Arizona Rangers are an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)(3) civilian auxiliary that provides support and assistance to law enforcement, according to their website.
“The Arizona Rangers are proud to serve our communities in many ways, and that service goes beyond assisting law enforcement. It’s also about lending a hand, protecting the places we enjoy and working alongside others to make a difference,” the press release continued.
