For this year’s Pumpkin & Chili Party, Schnepf Farms is adding three new rides, two classic amusement rides and improvements throughout the festival.

“Our family has continued to grow, change and dream about what Schnepf Farms can become,” Carrie Schnepf stated in a press release. “This year’s investment is about honoring our history while creating an entirely new level of fun for the families who visit us.”

The new rides debuting this year are the Barnyard Stampede rollercoaster; the Peach Pit drop tower; and the Schnepf Big Slide. Classic rides being added this year are the Barnstormers and the teacup ride the Coffee Cup Swirl.

The Pumpkin & Chili Party is also bringing the Phoenix Raceway Pedal Car Challenge - NASCAR Driver from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Oct. 30. Guests can peddle a racecar through a forest track.

These additions join more than 25 rides, shows and attractions at the Pumpkin & Chili Party, including Hillbilly Bob’s Pig Races, live entertainment, a petting zoo, a 10-acre corn maze celebrating our nation’s 250th birthday, and, of course, the famous pumpkin patch.

As usual, food will also play a prominent part at the event. Guests can enjoy the farm’s famous chili, freshly baked cinnamon rolls, barbecue, burgers and specialty desserts.

What began as a traditional family farm in 1941 has grown into one of Arizona’s best-known agritainment destinations.

Schnepf Farms, now in its 85th year, has welcomed guests to experience agriculture through festivals, peach picking, farm-fresh food, weddings, educational field trips and family traditions.

“This celebration is about much more than adding rides,” Schnepf said. “It is about investing in the future of the farm so families can continue making memories here for generations to come.”

The Pumpkin & Chili Party will take place every Wednesday through Sunday in October at Schnepf Farms, 24810 E. Rittenhouse Road. Festival dates, admission information and advance tickets are available at Schnepf Farms.
