Queen Creek schools leader nominated for award

Samantha Davis, Queen Creek Unified School District Governing Board vice president has been nominated for the “School Connect Collaborative Leadership Award.”

This award is given to a board member who has partnered with other leaders to bring unified community engagement and support to their district, according to a QCUSD Facebook post.

School Connect is a Glendale-based 501(c)3 organization with a mission of building-up schools through the “takes a village” approach.

“The resources and support kids need are all around them, but often parents, principals, and local leaders are disconnected and have no idea what their community can offer,” the organization’s website stated. “School Connect helps leaders like you to build a village of support for the children in your community! We connect, train, and coach you to build strong, strategic partnerships that support local schools. Together, we can change the outcomes for children – because it truly takes a village to help every child reach their potential.”
