Queen Creek police report traffic stops

One of the goals when the Queen Creek Police Department hit the streets in January 2022 was to keep drivers safe on the town’s roads.

QCPD’s traffic unit made 1,904 stops between January and March, QCPD reported on its Facebook page.

Traffic stops included:

  • 878 civil speed citations and warnings
  • 16 criminal speed citations
  • 85 red light violations
  • 6 street racing citations
  • 38 DUI arrests

In addition, there were 387 traffic accidents. Distracted driving and speed are two of the most common factors in traffic collisions in Queen Creek, police stated.
