Groundbreaking is set for Phase 2 of Queen Creek’s Vineyard Towne Center

Posted

On May 20th, Vestar will break ground on Phase 2 of construction of the Vineyard Towne Center in Queen Creek, which will feature anchor tenant Target.

A grand opening is set for fall 2025, according to a press release. With a total of 260,000 square feet, Vineyard Towne Center will offer a mix of retail shops, services and dining options at the northwest corner of Gantzel and Combs roads.

"This important milestone brings us closer to the completion of Vineyard Towne Center. Now that this project is nearly 100% leased, it reaffirms our vision from day one, which was to bring a premium shopping experience to the Queen Creek community,” stated Jeff Axtell, executive vice president of development for Vestar, in the press release. “We look forward to kicking off Phase 2 in May, taking us one step closer to our grand opening next year.”

Joining Target in Phase 2 will be McDonald's, Verizon, Petco, Mattress Firm, My Dr. Now, Better Buzz Coffee, Zaxby’s Restaurant, Ono Hawaiian BBQ and Mountain America Credit Union.

The first phase of the Vineyard Towne Center opened in August 2023 in conjunction with the debut of the town’s new Sprouts Farmers Market as the anchor tenant.

Keep It Cut Hair Salon, Crown One Beauty Supply and Wingstop have already opened their doors in Phase 1. Expected to open later this month in Phase 1 are Over Easy, Café Rio, Academy Bank and Cinnaholic. Newly signed tenants Lifequest, Cadence Running Company and Thai Chili 2 Go are set to open this summer.

Vineyard Towne Center is one of five new projects Vestar is developing in Arizona. Queen Creek Crossing, Verrado Marketplace in Buckeye, Laveen Towne Center and The Shops at Lake Pleasant in Peoria are also in various phases of construction and development.
