A native of Queen Creek and a proud alum of Queen Creek Elementary School, Queen Creek Junior High School and Queen Creek High School, Cesar Urena has built a career and family in the town he loves.
He joined the Queen Creek Fire & Medical Department 10 years ago as a firefighter and previously worked with El Mirage for one year. After serving as an engineer, Urena was promoted to captain in 2023 and has now transitioned to emergency medical services.
“I’ve always felt a strong connection to this community,” he said. “Being able to serve the town where I grew up makes this work especially meaningful to me.”
