Fulton Homes is partnering with KSLX to host “Cause for Paws,” designed to help pets walk outdoors safely this summer.
From 10 a.m. until noon Saturday, June 11, at Queen Creek Marketplace, 21398 S. Ellsworth Loop Road, pet owners will receive free dog booties to protect canines from summer sidewalk and street temperatures that could reach 140 degrees, according to a release.
The event will take place outside of PetSmart.
“A surface temperature of 140 degrees has the potential to cause burns, permanent damage and scarring to canine family members in a matter of just one minute,” the release stated.
Donations to the Arizona Humane Society will be welcomed but not required.
