Valleypalooza to bring music, good cause together in Phoenix

Inaugural event Saturday in North Phoenix

Posted

The Valleypalooza festival arrives this weekend.

Valleypalooza brings together members of the online group Living North Phoenix to support local businesses and spend time with neighbors and community members. The event donates a portion of proceeds to Treasure House, a nonprofit supporting young adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

It all goes from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at Paradise Valley Community College, 18401 N. 32nd St.

Valleypalooza has its own signature beer, North Phoenix Pale Ale, created by Tyler Smith at nearby Kitsune Brewing Co., where festival goers can stop by all day.

Phoenix-based Latin punk trio Fayuca will perform.

Treasure House, a nonprofit founded in 2018 by Kurt and Brenda Warner, benefits young adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Inspired by their son Zack, the supported living residence in Glendale is home to 29 young adults.

Seeds for Autism will have a booth at the event, furthering supporting the special needs community.

Valleypalooza tickets are $7. Children 12 and younger get in free.
