Phoenix councilman: Let’s Talk Teal campaign fosters awareness, sparks change

OPINION — In 2019, Phoenix launched the sexual violence awareness campaign, Let’s Talk Teal. In addition to activities that directly impact survivors of sexual violence, the initiative emphasizes having important conversations to prevent and end sexual violence.

Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April is a reminder that every voice matters and every survivor deserves to be heard, believed and supported.

By raising awareness, we challenge the silence surrounding sexual violence, promote prevention through education and work toward communities where safety and respect are the norm. The accompanying graphic provides resources.
