Suspect linked to Phoenix homicide arrested following Sun City crash

Posted

A suspect in a Phoenix homicide investigation who was inside a vehicle that crashed in Sun City and then fled the scene has been arrested.

Wickeburg police said at about 4 a.m. Friday, April 21, officers found a vehicle that was involved in another incident and attempted a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle failed to yield and fled east into Surprise.

Police said they later learned a Phoenix homicide suspect was in the vehicle.

Wickenburg police said they remained in pursuit to provide support with a canine unit.

A woman and juvenile passengers in the vehicle remained at the Sun City collision scene at 99th and Grand avenues, but the suspect fled prior to being arrested, authorities said.
