Police arrest 18-year-old as suspect in Phoenix homicide

An 18-year-old man has been booked on a murder charge as the suspect in the March 19 shooting death of a man near 35th Avenue and Van Buren Street, Phoenix police said Tuesday.

Police arrested Herson Robledo on May 20, booking him on murder and prohibited possessor charges.

He is the suspect in the shooting death of Jacob Schottenbauer, 39. Police found the victim with at least one gunshot wound about 9:45 p.m. March 19, according to a release. He died April 1 from his injuries.

The Office of the Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide.
