Phoenix strikes historic preservation compromise on short-term rental hosting 'wild parties'

The Phoenix Historic Preservation Commission came to what it called a compromise with the owner of a property being used as a short-term rental where “wild parties” were disturbing the neighborhood.

The original single-story home and casita on the one-acre property southeast of 42nd and Hazelwood streets was built 1926-29. An addition to the house and two buildings were later constructed in the 1940s.
