A man died early Friday morning in a crash when an SUV hit him in the 2400 block of North 32nd Street, Phoenix police said.
Phoenix police detectives are investigating the collision that occurred just after 1 a.m. April 5 near 32nd Street and Oak. The pedestrian was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries, police said.
The man driving the SUV was interviewed and showed no signs of impairment, according to a release.
The crash remains under investigation, but initial information indicates the victim was in the road outside of any marked crosswalks, police said.
