Phoenix man indicted in shooting of father, mother

A Phoenix man was indicted this week in the fatal shooting of his father and wounding of his mother at a family gathering.

Victor Donovan Morales, 18, was indicted on one count each of second-degree murder, aggravated assault and disorderly conducted and two counts each of disorderly conduct and misconduct involving weapons, according to a press release from the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.

Morales is being held on a $1 million secured appearance bond. Trial is scheduled for November of this year.

Phoenix man indicted in shooting of father, mother

A Phoenix man was indicted this week in the fatal shooting of his father and wounding of his mother at a family gathering.

Victor Donovan Morales, 18, was indicted on one count each of second-degree murder, aggravated assault and disorderly conducted and two counts each of disorderly conduct and misconduct involving weapons, according to a press release from the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.

Morales is being held on a $1 million secured appearance bond. Trial is scheduled for November of this year.

Morales was arrested after Phoenix Police responded to a shooting at a family event near Seventh Street and Dobbins Road. They found the father with multiple gunshot wounds and the mother with a gunshot wound in her arm.
