Paradise Valley plans for future legislative challenges to photo radar

More municipalities moving to red-light cameras

Paradise Valley’s fight to keep photo radar enforcement was successful by the closest of margins and the town already is planning next legislative session’s strategy where the issues are almost sure to come back.

“This was a long year because you had two bills; the one that the governor vetoed and then the statewide referendum which was defeated at the very end of the session,” Paradise Valley Mayor Mark Stanton said. “But we fully anticipate that there’ll be similar type bills that come forth in the next session.”
