A 50-year-old man died at a hospital after his motorcycle collided with a car near East Cactus and Cave Creek roads, police said.

The victim, Eric Busby, was traveling east on Cactus Road “at a high rate of speed,” police said regarding the crash that occurred about 10 p.m. March 3.

The crash involved a car that was leaving a private drive on the south side of Cactus Road and had cleared three lanes before being hit by the motorcycle, according to a release.

The driver of the car was not injured and showed no signs of impairment, police said.
