OPINION — Less than two weeks from Election Day, every headline is heads down: polls, turnout, which party takes which chamber. That is my disappointment with mainstream media. Perception over perspective. Superficiality over substance. Transactional thinking over strategic thinking.
Men and women of both parties are on this ballot, and the coverage treats them like a horse race: who’s up, who’s down, who said what. But look at what they are actually running for. Congress holds the power of the purse: spending, taxes, debt and oversight of the Federal Reserve. This election is about who controls the money.
My read: The world’s financial system is heading toward a restructuring, a reset in how money moves and how nations trade. Forget the labels. They obscure the truth.
