Long-vacant One Camelback tower is now open

PHOENIX — For years, One Camelback has stood at the center of one of Phoenix’s busiest intersections, its glass facade and dramatic silhouette impossible to miss. But while the tower had all the makings of an Uptown landmark, its transformation into apartments stalled before it could become part of daily life in the neighborhood. That has now changed.

One Camelback welcomed its first residents on Tuesday, Oct. 2, transforming the long-stalled former office tower into a 163-residence apartment community in the heart of Uptown Phoenix.

The response has come early: 20% of the building has already been leased sight unseen, a signal that Phoenix renters are ready for a home with real architectural personality and a front-row seat to one of the city’s most connected neighborhoods.
