OPINION — Rep. Lisa Fink’s recent op-ed touting Andy Biggs as the gubernatorial candidate Arizonans should support was appalling, yet unsurprising. Fink has shown herself to be an out-of-touch extremist more interested in ideology than good governance.
Fink failed to mention that, as Senate president, Andy Biggs blocked bipartisan legislation protecting underage girls from sexual abuse and forced child marriage under Warren Jeffs, later admitting, “I was the Senate president. I knew what was going on.”
Biggs also voted against tougher penalties for child prostitution and spousal rape.
