Smoke from a fire Sunday afternoon in Phoenix could be seen for miles and required extra crews to battle the blaze.

Phoenix Fire Department officials said multiple cars and potentially hazardous materials were burning Sunday, Oct. 9, near 11th Avenue and Happy Valley Road.

Firefighters had difficulty accessing water to battle the blaze, but once they did officials said the fire was brought under control quickly.
