Westbound Interstate 10 will be closed between US 60 and I-17 this weekend for work on the Broadway Curve improvement project.
The closure will be in effect from 10 p.m. Friday, April 12, to 4 a.m. Monday, April 15, state transportation officials said.
Westbound I-10 on-ramps at Elliot and Baseline roads will be closed along with the westbound US 60 ramps to westbound I-10, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Westbound US 60 on-ramps at McClintock Drive, Rural Road and Mill Avenue also will be closed.
Drivers also should be aware northbound SR 143 will be closed this weekend between Broadway Road and University Drive.
For detours, ADOT suggests drivers on westbound I-10 consider using eastbound Loop 202 or eastbound US 60 to northbound Loop 101 before using westbound Loop 202 to reach Sky Harbor Airport or I-10 at the SR 51 “Mini-Stack” interchange.
Drivers also can consider using westbound/northbound Loop 202 to reach I-10 in the West Valley (near 59th Avenue), transportation officials said.
