Arizona’s Maynard James Keenan to bring A Perfect Circle to Phoenix

Jerome-area resident and winemaker returns with The Cult for summer 2027 show

Longtime Arizona resident Maynard James Keenan will return to a Valley stage when A Perfect Circle performs June 13, 2027, at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre in Phoenix as part of the band’s spring North American tour. The Cult will join the band as special guests.

Keenan’s connection to Arizona extends well beyond music. The Tool, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer singer moved to Arizona in 1995 and has made his home in Jerome for decades. He owns Caduceus Cellars and Merkin Vineyards and has become a prominent figure in Arizona’s wine industry, with vineyards in the Verde Valley and near Willcox and a Caduceus tasting room in Jerome.

A Perfect Circle, formed in 1999 by Keenan and guitarist Billy Howerdel, released its debut album, “Mer de Noms,” in 2000. The platinum-selling album reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and included “Judith,” “3 Libras” and “The Hollow.” The band's subsequent albums include “Thirteenth Step,” “eMOTIVe” and 2018's “Eat the Elephant.”
