Arizona car dealership settles discriminatory practices lawsuit

A long time East Valley car dealership accused of deceptive pricing and discriminatory practices has agreed to pay $2.6 million to settle a lawsuit with the state.

On Thursday, the Arizona Attorney General’s Office announced it settled a lawsuit with Coulter Motor Co. and its former general manager Gregory Depaola for “deceptive online vehicle pricing to charging Latino car buyers more in interest and add-on” products, according to a press release.

The complaint was made in U.S. District Court by the Arizona Attorney General’s Office and the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.
