About five years after closing Supai Middle School, Scottsdale Unified stakeholders discussed the logistics of again having a separate middle school in the Coronado Learning Community.
District officials on Nov. 30, presented a plan to restructure the learning complex, citing student enrollment concerns and limited program availability options for sixth through eighth grade students offered at Tonalea K-8.
“The lack of current program capacity to enroll additional students in grades 6-8 is limiting the number of incoming ninth grade students at Coronado High School,” according to an SUSD governing board report.
