A 1995 graduate of Columbus College of Art and Design, Hugger paints what is described as “vibrant, surreal desert landscapes populated with fascinating cast-off parts and apparatuses with the goal of producing work that reveals the luminous beauty hidden in displaced objects and barren desolate horizons.”

Hugger uses found objects and creates still-life composition, the release said, noting how he imagines the long-lost bits and pieces with its beauty through paintings that evoke the desolation of the desert and obscure human objects.
