This past weekend was the first meet of the season for The Jones-Gordon School Middle School Track and Field teams, which both took first place.
The middle school girls team took first place in the CAA Junior High Kick Off Classic in the Girls Division I/II. The middle school boys team took first place in the CAA Junior High Kick Off Classic in the Boys Division I/II.
The JGS Boys and Girls Middle School Track and Field teams have always had immense success, a news release stated. The boys have won back-to-back state titles and are looking to make it a three-peat this year while the girls are always in the mix for first place, having won the title in 2021.
The school currently has the largest track and field team it has ever had. The Jaguars have an opportunity to take the state title for both boys and girls, along with multiple athletes vying for first place in state in a variety of events.
