Phoenix declines filing charges against Paradise Valley councilman

The city of Phoenix Prosecutor’s Office will not file charges in a theft case involving Paradise Valley Councilman Paul Dembow, officials there say.

Dembow has been accused of allegedly stealing a memorial cross from Judith Brown’s property in Paradise Valley in June 2021. Dembow denies the accusations.

On Feb. 11, the Phoenix Prosecutor’s Office issued a letter to Paradise Valley Town Attorney Andrew McGuire and Town Prosecutor Rockne Anderson. The letter is written and signed by Mark Borzych, assistant bureau chief and conflicts attorney for city of Phoenix.
