My Tasty Table, a nonprofit organization committed to promoting healthy eating habits among children, has announced that Paradise Valley resident and co-founder, Aanvi Goel, has been honored with the prestigious 18 Under 18 Awards by Junior Achievement of Arizona.

This annual award celebrates exceptional young individuals who are making a significant impact in their communities through entrepreneurial spirit, leadership and community service, according to a press release.

My Tasty Table believes that food education is essential for building a healthier future, the release stated. Goel, along with her co-founders Karina Koppikar and Riya Mehta, have harnessed their passion for cooking and nutrition to empower others.

My Tasty Table offers interactive cooking classes to children, bridging the gap between food insecurity and Phoenix-area kids. Through hands-on culinary experiences, the nonprofit inspires young minds to make informed choices about nutrition and wellness.

Goel is currently a junior at Xavier College Preparatory School where she also plays varsity golf. In addition to her work with My Tasty Table, Goel holds leadership positions and is actively involved with the Swift Youth Foundation, the Dragon Kim Foundation and First Tee of Arizona.

In Goel’s own words, “My motivation behind My Tasty Table comes from a desire to create positive change. Food is not only nourishment for our bodies but also a powerful tool for fostering well-being. Through our cooking classes, we aim to empower children with essential life skills while promoting healthy eating habits.”

Goel’s dedication to her community and her commitment to fostering a healthier future for young generations have earned her this well-deserved recognition, the release stated.

Her advice to other aspiring young entrepreneurs is: “Regardless of your age it’s never too early to start. Follow your passion, stay curious and never stop learning. Every small step counts, and you will be amazed at the impact you can make.”

The 18 Under 18 Awards ceremony will take place April 18, where Goel and her fellow recipients will be honored for their achievements. They serve as role models, leaders and innovators, inspiring the next generation of student entrepreneurs and community leaders.
