Paradise Valley police arrest man on domestic violence charges
Posted
Independent Newsmedia
Paradise Valley police, along with Phoenix police, arrested a man on numerous assault and domestic violence charges on July 25.
Police officers arrested David Lewis Conley, who was booked into the Maricopa County Fourth Avenue Jail on charges of sexual assault, aggravated assault and aggravated domestic violence, according to a police report.
PVPD received a report on July 25 regarding a domestic violence incident in the 4800 block of East Horseshoe Road, according to a police report.
Police say they learned the woman who called claimed she was threatened with a knife, physically assaulted, strangled and sexually assaulted. This led officers, a report claims, to gather enough evidence to establish probable cause to respond to the residence and arrest Mr. Conley.
Upon arriving at the residence, police say Mr. Conley made homicidal and suicidal statement by use of a knife and a firearm. These threats led PVPD, a report states, to request help from the Phoenix Police Department’s Special Assignment Unit for the arrest.
Police arrested Mr. Conley at 7:19 a.m. and said he was arrested without incident. Police also said they obtained a search warrant on the residence.
Paradise Valley police remind residents they can report suspicious activity in their neighborhoods. For emergencies, residents should call 911 but for all other calls, residents call the PVPD crime stopper at 480-948-7410.
