Paradise Valley online permitting featured at national conference

Paradise Valley’s online permitting system was featured at Accelarate 2026, a national conference for government agencies using Accela, the software behind the town’s online permit portal, according to the town manager’s Oct. 9 weekly update.

Taylor Hunter, the town’s IT team lead, presented in New Orleans on Oct. 6 with Tyler Suarez of GovPath, the town’s implementation partner. Their session, “From Paper to Portal: How Paradise Valley Modernized Its Application Process with Accela Citizen Access,” highlighted the town’s transition from paper applications and manual data entry to an online permitting process.

The system allows applicants to submit applications, pay fees and track permit status online. It also provides automatic email updates and allows departments to review plans electronically at the same time.
