Paradise Valley is laying the groundwork to prevent marijuana dispensaries from opening within town limits should Arizona voters approval recreational cannabis use in next month’s election.
The Paradise Valley Town Council has agreed to refer a draft ordinance, which lays out the town’s intent to prohibit marijuana facilities, to its Planning Commission for review and recommendation.
The Town Council approved the referral of a draft ordinance on Oct. 8, following Town Attorney Andrew Miller’s recommendation.
