The Paradise Valley Public Safety Foundation has until the end of the year to dissolve its operations such as the process involving how police department donations are accepted, following a resolution adopted during Oct. 22 by the Town Council.
Effective Dec. 31, the Paradise Valley Public Safety Foundation, which was incorporated on Dec. 14, 2018, will need to be dissolved, according to a staff report, adding the directive includes instituting a new donation policy for what was deemed police department enhancements.
Although the soon-to-be-defunct foundation is encouraged to cooperate with the Paradise Valley Police Department chief on identifying funding enhancements, during the transition foundation money and donations should go directly to the Town, care of the chief financial officer, said the report.
