Paradise Valley’s Coffee with a Cop event Wednesday, Oct. 7 featured Tanya Rouintan, bureau chief of the Family Violence Unit at the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, who spoke with residents about domestic violence awareness.
Paradise Valley Police Chief Freeman Carney said educating residents about domestic violence can help victims by giving them more people to turn to who know how to offer support and connect them with resources.
“This happens behind closed doors and so we need a good partnership,” he said. “Partnership is with the community.”
