An Earth Day Celebration will be held at Paradise Valley United Methodist Church, 4455 E. Lincoln Drive, 10 a.m.–1 p.m. Sunday, April 21.

The event features 22 vendors and exhibitors, discussion groups, speakers, recyclers, donation opportunities, kids activities, and tours of the PVUMC Biblical Garden and labyrinth, according to a press release.

Attendees are invited to bring used electronics, boxes of documents and batteries to be recycled, and participate in a learning group about making a yard a monarch sanctuary, composting, solar, hydroponic gardening, energy advice and more. They will leave with insights, tips and innovative solutions for living more sustainably.

“Imagine a world where every choice we make leaves a positive impact on the Earth — a world where we tread more gently, leaving behind a legacy of stewardship and care,” said Larry Olson, retired Arizona State University professor of environmental science andcChair of PVUMC Earth Care team. “From reducing waste to supporting local initiatives, each vendor brings a unique perspective to the table, inspiring us to rethink our habits and embrace a more conscious way of life.”

Admission to the April 21 event is free. Smoothies, lattes, coffee and tea will be available.
