Hundreds of SUSD parents fight to keep their schools open

A crowd topping 400 people filled the Desert Mountain High School auditorium Sept. 22 for a public hearing on further possible school closures in Scottsdale Unified School District.

And about 100 of them — many dressed in shirts sporting school logos like Redfield Elementary and Laguna Prep. — went up to the mic to share their opinions and argue the reasons why their schools should be kept open.
