Drunk Shakespeare brings unconventional take on classic theater to the Valley

Just a short drive from Paradise Valley at the Rose Theatre in Phoenix, a Shakespeare performance can take an unpredictable turn when one actor takes five shots before the show begins.

Drunk Shakespeare Society puts an alcohol-fueled spin on familiar stories, with a different actor designated as the drunk performer each night.
