City of Phoenix invites applications for food grants

The city of Phoenix invites nonprofits, small businesses, educational institutions, neighborhood associations and other organizations that work within the city’s food system to apply for the Office of Environmental Programs Food Systems Grant.

The Food Systems Grant will provide up to $20,000 to organizations that work within the city of Phoenix to implement projects that empower Phoenix residents to grow, access, cook, share and eat healthy, affordable and culturally relevant food.

This grant aims to support community-level projects that deliver substantial, direct benefit to the public by addressing inequity, meeting community needs and, ultimately, increasing food access. The Food Systems Grant Program aligns with the city of Phoenix’s 2030 Food Action Plan and will fund projects that help create a just, equitable, and resilient local food system.
