Grocer WinCo Foods is coming to Goodyear.
The new location is set to break ground on its long-awaited location near PebbleCreek Parkway and McDowell Road. WinCo has been one of the most requested grocers by the Goodyear community in the past three biennial retail surveys, according to a city press release.
“Goodyear residents have been asking for WinCo Foods, and we are excited to let them know they have been heard,” Goodyear Mayor Joe Pizzillo stated.
This new location will be 15581 W. McDowell Road in PebbleCreek Marketplace, near Babbo Italian Eatery, Potato Barn and Panera. It is anticipated to open later this year.
WinCo Foods is an employee-owned grocery chain. Founded in Boise, Idaho, in 1967, the brand now has more than 140 stores in 10 states mainly located throughout the West Coast.
The new 85,675-square-foot building will be WinCo’s eighth store in Arizona.
