With the widest first-place cushion in Major League Baseball here in late-August, no one in White Sox Nation is thinking about next year at the moment.
But just the same, MLB did on Aug. 18 announce spring training schedules for 2022 for all teams.
The White Sox will open their spring slate at home at Camelback Ranch-Glendale when the Oakland A’s visit the West Valley on Saturday, Feb. 26.
The Sox have held spring training in Arizona since 1998. Originally spending their springs in Tucson, the White Sox moved to Glendale in 2009 to join the Los Angeles Dodgers at Camelback Ranch-Glendale, 10710 W. Camelback Road.
The White Sox are currently 11.5 games up on Minnesota to lead the AL Central.
MLB hasn’t released start times for the spring training games yet, but generally most Cactus League games begin at 1 p.m.
Camelback Ranch-Glendale, which was built for $100 million, became the largest spring training stadium to ever open when it debuted on March 1, 2009.
