Walmart opens central fill pharmacy in Litchfield Park
Facility employs more than 250 people and can fill 100,000 prescriptions a day

Walmart celebrated the opening of a Litchfield Park pharmacy facility with the capacity to fill 100,000 prescriptions a day on Oct. 29.
The 100,000-square-foot central fill pharmacy at 6600 N. Sarival Road employs more than 250 people, according to the company. The opening celebration included community tours and remarks from company leaders.
The facility will supply more than 700 Walmart pharmacies across 12 western states. Walmart said processing prescriptions centrally will give pharmacy teams at its stores more time to assist customers and provide clinical services.
The Litchfield Park facility is the sixth site in Walmart’s central fill network.
