Jackson Dearborn Partners, a Chicago-based developer, announced the opening of Solace at Ballpark Village, an upscale 211-unit multi-family development in Goodyear.
The complex, located a quarter mile from Goodyear ballpark, will feature amenities like gourmet kitchens with quartz countertops and tile backsplashes, full-sized washers and dryers, wood-style plank flooring, built-in bookshelves, private main bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, 9-foot ceilings, modern pendant lighting, central air and heating, ceiling fans in living areas and bedrooms, and private patios or balconies.
Solace at Ballpark Village is Jackson Dearborn’s first completed project in Arizona.
According to the firm, it selected Goodyear because it is one of the fastest-growing cities in Arizona and the nation. They also cited the city's highly desirable Opportunity Zone designation and a rapidly developing Goodyear Ballpark mixed-use area as incentivies for continued growth.
“We are excited to be opening our first project in Arizona,” said Chris Saunders, managing partner of Jackson Dearborn Partners and owner of general contractor Sub4 Development. “We planted a flag here with the opening of an office in Scottsdale back in 2019, and we have five projects planned behind this one. Solace at Ballpark Village will bring a differentiated elevator-served project to the Goodyear market, with high-end amenities, a cutting-edge smart home technology package, and design features that lean into the Goodyear Ballpark theme.”
Goodyear Ballpark is the spring training home of the Cleveland Guardians and the Cincinnati Reds. In addition to spring training, the ballpark hosts various events throughout the year, including the Annual Arizona Balloon Classic and the City of Goodyear Fall Festival. Other surrounding neighborhood attractions include Goodyear Recreation Campus, Phoenix Goodyear Airport, and Estrella Star Tower.
“Solace at Ballpark Village is the only new build in the immediate area offering elevator access along with smart home features, which include door locks and thermostats to create convenient smart-home living,” said Ofelia Brit, community manager of Solace. “In addition, Solace at Ballpark Village and Cox have partnered to connect residents to the internet as soon as they move in through Cox Quick Connect.”
Community amenities include a resort-style pool and spa with poolside cabanas, outdoor yoga/stretching lawn, game room, business center (with conference room), common area equipped with Wi-Fi, covered bike racks, outdoor covered entertainment area with grilling stations, 24-hour fitness center, clubhouse, dog park, valet trash, 24-hour emergency maintenance, and elevator access to the amenity areas.
Jackson Dearborn Partners are slated to break ground on a 355-unit community in Goodyear later this year and plans to open its second Arizona multifamily community in Casa Grande in the summer of 2024.
Additional projects in their Arizona pipeline include multifamily communities in Scottsdale, Chandler and Peoria.
Sub4 Development was the general contractor for Solace at Ballpark Village, and LCM Architects were the architects. P.B. Bell professionally manages Solace at Ballpark Village.
