Connect Arizona has launched an interactive Google map showing the locations of free WiFi hotspots across the state, including public libraries, schools, internet providers and community organizations.

The website, connect-arizona.com, is available in English and Spanish, and provides specific directions to free hotspots and step-by-step instructions on accessing them, according to a news release. Visitors to the site also can get free technical support and information about special discounts provided by Arizona internet providers.

The interactive map was created in collaboration with the Arizona State Library system, School Connect, Common Sense Media, the Commerce Authority and the Arizona Broadband Stakeholder Network, according to the release.

For help using the map or learning how to get online, families can call 602-529-1519 or email azlibtap@gmail.com to make an appointment with a technical specialist. Technical specialists are available 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Organizations that offer free WiFi for students in need may fill out a form on the site to be listed on the map.
