Litchfield Park names Employee of the Quarter

City recognizes Stacey Frederico for Q3 2026

Litchfield Park recognized Stacey Frederico as its Employee of the Quarter for the third quarter of 2026.

Frederico, a shared employee, supports four city departments: Building Safety, Engineering, Public Grounds and Planning and Zoning.

Her job involves handling permitting requests, communicating with city stakeholders, placing orders and managing payroll.

“My day can be extremely busy,” Frederico said. “There are different things that come up, so I’m not doing the same thing day after day, and I enjoy that.”

Frederico has worked for the city since 2017 and will celebrate her 10th anniversary with the city next year. She previously worked for her family’s construction business in California, an experience she said led her to apply to the city’s Building Safety Department.

“I was used to working with different crews and the building aspect of it, so it just came naturally and we went from there,” Frederico said.

As her role with the city expanded, she began working with more people each day, an aspect of the job she said she has enjoyed.

“It’s a great environment to work in, and I really enjoy being here for that reason,” Frederico said.

Mayor Thomas Schoaf formally recognized Frederico at the Aug. 12 City Council meeting.

“One of the most important things we do as a council and as a city is recognize the employees who work for us,” Schoaf said at the meeting.

The city’s Employee of the Quarter is nominated by fellow employees, a process Frederico said made the award especially meaningful.

“It’s a huge honor,” she said. “This really is a team and everybody is willing to help.”
