Goodyear ranked top city for economic momentum

Posted

Goodyear has been named the highest ranking small city in the nation for economic growth, according to a new report from CoworkingCafe.

The study analyzed data from 2019 to 2023, measuring GDP growth, job gains, housing expansion, export strength and infrastructure investment. Goodyear, with a population of just over 101,000, took the top spot among cities with fewer than 250,000 residents.

The report highlighted Goodyear’s 42% GDP growth and a 61% increase in business applications, along with a 30% rise in median earnings during the study period. Educational attainment also stood out, with nearly one-third of residents holding a bachelor’s degree or higher.

CoworkingCafe that city leaders have positioned it for continued expansion by unlocking 5,000 acres for development, leveraging freeway access, and offering foreign-trade zone incentives that have attracted major employers such as Sub-Zero and UPS.
