Editor's note: This story has been updated with official 2023 Goodyear Ballpark attendance figures.

Fans of Ohio baseball helped increase Spring Training attendance at Goodyear Ballpark by 13% in 2024.

The ballpark, offseason home to both the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Guardians, announced during Sunday’s spring finale that the final attendance count for the season was unofficially 146,284. According to MLB’s statistics system, the Goodyear stadium drew 128,962 fans in 2023, which represents a year over year 13% increase.

Sunday’s season finale drew 7,374 fans that saw the Guardians down the Reds 10-7.

A Cactus League spokesperson on Monday said the organization will release official final numbers when they are available “in the next few weeks.” The Cactus League is comprised of 10 facilities that host 15 Major League teams.

The Cactus League previously shared that the 2023 Spring Training season generated an estimated $710.2 million in economic impact for the state of Arizona, according to a study by Arizona State University's W.P. Carey School of Business. The study, which surveyed only out-of-state visitors, also found that the Cactus League generated $418.5 million for Arizona's Gross Domestic Product.

The study further found that the median Spring Training visitor spent four days in Arizona and that the median traveling party spent $421.25 per day.
