The artwork will reflect the spirit of Civic Square as a destination for community, celebration and connectivity, according to a city news release.
It will be composed of stainless steel, polycarbonate and color-changing lighting. The text will cover the surface of the artwork and tell the story of Goodyear.
“Please help make this sculpture relevant and personal by sharing words that reflect the celebratory and connective nature exhibited daily by the people of Goodyear,” the release stated.
Submissions are due by Saturday, March 20, and may be submitted online at bit.ly/civicsquareart or by emailing achronis9@gmail.com.
