Bashas’ is inviting Arizonans to draw some inspiration from their previous travels and dream new flavors for the hometown grocer’s donut cases as part of the grocery chain’s annual Flavor Craze contest.
In addition to having their creations featured in Bashas’ donut cases throughout June, two grand prize winners (one child and one adult) will each be named 2021 Bashas’ Donut Ambassadors. Each will take home $500 worth of prizes, including a Bashas’ grocery gift card, baking/cooking gadgets, family-fun activities and one dozen donuts every month for a year.
One runner-up in each category will receive a $50 Bashas’ gift card, and three honorable mentions in each category will receive a $20 Bashas’ gift card.
To enter, Arizonans ages 8 to 17 and 18 and older may submit their favorite sweet or savory global donut flavors at bashas.com/flavorcraze through 11:59 p.m. MDT Monday, May 17. Entries should include a 100-word description of their best global donut idea, including the proposed name, key ingredients and donut description.
A panel of celebrity judges will select 10 finalists, five in each age category, by Monday, May 24.
The winners will be announced Tuesday, June 1, just in time for National Donut Day on Friday, June 4.
