INDEPENDENT NEWSMEDIA
Roxann Favors and Jay DeWitt have been promoted to assistant directors at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
Favors takes over as chief revenue officer in September. DeWitt has been named chief development officer.
They will work for the City of Phoenix Aviation Department, which owns and operates Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Phoenix Deer Valley Airport and Phoenix Goodyear Airport.
In 2015, Favors, who began working with the city in 2003, was selected as Phoenix’s major events administrator.
She has worked on a variety of events, including the 2017 NCAA Men's Final Four, 2017 Lost Lake Music and Arts Festival and the annual M3F Music Festival.
“We are fortunate to have Roxann returning to join the executive team at the aviation department," Chad Makovsky, director of aviation services, stated in a release.
“After a national search, it was clear that with Roxann's knowledge and skills, she is the chief revenue officer we need as we continue to grow our operations and enhance the customer experience."
DeWitt has been with the city for 28 years working in several areas.
“Jay has led some of the highest profile construction projects in the city of Phoenix and most recently, was essential in helping to lead Sky Harbor through the COVID-19 pandemic, the most difficult financial period in the history of aviation," Makovsky stated, adding that DeWitt also was chosen after a national search.
